STORM Or Emergency situations

If ever you can't reach us by phone.  Try sending an e-mail or check Facebook for our updates.  If we loose power, internet and phone like we did for many days with the October 29, 2011 storm, we were able to find web service after 48 hours at a friend's.  We checked it once a day and all pets in our care were all cared for.

JANUARY

• Mark your calendar for when your pets are due for their annual checkup and vaccinations this year.

• Have pets' teeth checked annually, just like humans, bad teeth can cause some health problems

• Look over your calendar and book any pet care reservations needed with us as soon as possible to ensure coverage.

• Call us Now for your February Vacation pet care reservation. 

• If you adopt a dog this month - call us ASAP to set up Mid Day Let out so they have a break while you are at work

FEBRUARY

• Dori's Birthday on the 17th !!

• Chocolate can be dangerous for most pets and deadly for some.  Keep Valentine sweets out of pets' reach.

CAUTION,

when looking into other pet sitting companies

It has been brought to our attention that with today's economy and the layoff of many people, there are a few trying to make ends meet with starting pet sitting services (plus there are other problems too, since you are handing over your keys) .  Some view this business as easy money (it is not).  Many of these people, do not realize that it will take at least 5 or more years to build up enough clientele and business to be able to pay all bills. While there are quite a few wonderful people out there and I applaud their effort, many of these same people stop pet sitting once they have found full time work, leaving their clients out in the cold when service is needed.  So, my advice is that if you can not use our service, to please go to our Frequently Asked Question section on our website and use these as your guideline to keep you and your pet as safe as possible.  I would also do what we do - copy their drivers license, do a police back ground check on them, even if they say it is just them and a partner.  Find out if they have been in business for 5 or more years and have a few back ups (over 21 years old) in case they become ill or have an emergency.
